National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP)
Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer- related mortality in Australia, accounting for over 8,500 deaths each year.
The majority of cases are diagnosed at an advanced stage, limiting the potential for curative treatment. The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) is a major step forward, using low-dose CT scans to detect cancer earlier in those at high risk. This initiative is designed to reduce mortality and support better outcomes through early interventional procedures.
Northside Imaging has partnered with Lungscreen Australia to support the delivery of the National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP).
Through collaborative partnerships and Al-driven platform integration, we streamline workflows, enhance reporting efficiency, and ensure alignment with Telstra Health registry requirements. This coordinated approach improves access, accelerates early detection, and supports better outcomes for high-risk Australians.
